Ecologically responsible
The buildings housing the Diversity bvba headquarters are located in the heart of the Hageland region, at the centre of the triangle formed by the cities of Tienen, Diest, and St.Truiden. It is a unique rural landscape with all of the typical characteristics of the Hageland: a gently rolling landscape of traditional orchards ringed by old hawthorn hedges. Rows of fruit trees alternate with – sometimes fallow - fields. Newcomers are the vineyards that have cropped up here and there, and are now producing internationally acclaimed quality wines.
For Diversity bvba, ecological responsibility means the relationship that exists, and that can constantly be renewed, with the (immediate) surroundings in all aspects. This entails that contact is maintained with the local stakeholders, the neighbours on our street, the town, and the local SMEs. This ecological awareness is anything but fundamentalist, but it does attest to a genuine vision and a conscious position within society. This is also visible in the programmes that Diversity bvba creates and in the social role it aims to play.
With our ecologically responsible – down to the smallest details – renovation, we have done our utmost to respect the characteristic Hageland environment. Solar panels on the roof and heat pumps in the ground literally connect the building with its environment. Our quest for a response to the environmental issue led us to carry out a renovation that led to a CO2-neutral building which allows us, among other things, to supply our own energy resources.
